LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

It’s spring and park clean-up time. The last heavy rains deposited a lot of debris at the park, along the fenced area on Valley View, at the gate, and in the parking area. Damage was also sustained to the gate, perimeter cable fencing, and barbeque areas. AND these were minor flooding events! Fortunately, we have funds budgeted to do the necessary repairs before the big hot arrives. Everyone, please join us on April 21st at 8:30 a.m. for park clean up day. Bring your rakes, shovels, pitchforks, and work gloves. Any landscaping items for around the gate would also be appreciated. Hope to see you there.

CALL FOR MATERIALS

4” steel pipe, landscaping rock, and xeriscaping materials are needed. Please contact Cathy Pape should you have materials available (512-847-3498).

PARK RULES
  • No glass bottles or other glass items in the park.
  • No rowdy, wild or drunken behavior. This is a family park.
  • No motorized vehicles allowed outside of designated parking areas.
  • No open fires at any time.
  • No fireworks are allowed in the park.
  • No loud music or boom boxes insofar as they may disrupt other guests.
  • Any person in the park must be a resident, landowner, or a guest of such. If you are a guest, your host must be present.
  • No firearms are allowed in the park.
  • No destruction or altering of property (trees, benches, etc.) is allowed.
  • Only ONE sanctioned rope swing, on the north side of the river at the swing platform is allowed. Park insurance does not cover other swings, and users of such do so at their own risk.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

OTHER PARK ITEMS

Dogs, dogs, dogs. Please, everyone, keep your dog on a leash at all times. We’ve had an increase in membership and, of course, member’s dogs. Also, stepping on a “slider” is no fun. Just like any other park, please bring a plastic bag or two (if needed) and clean up after your beloved pet. If we want to continue to have our dogs enjoy a swim at the park, this rule must be adhered to.

No ATVs, 4-wheel drive, or motorized vehicles are allowed on park property unless they are used as transportation to and from the parking area via the designated drive at the park entrance.

Special thanks to park association members who donated extra funds for park improvements.
